i think everyone is entitled to complain about UI changes, but if you weren’t here when the reblog button was at the top of the post we can’t be in conversation
“oh it’s so different and awful and functions like an actual social media site now” correct. your pain is nothing compared to those who had to overwrite the muscle memory of scrolling back up to the top of the post to reblog
actually @staff you have the opportunity to be the funniest motherfuckers on the planet if your next UI change is to put the reblog button back on the top of the posts
post cancelled because google informs me this was over a decade ago and i am not okay

Folks announcing they’re leaving Tumblr because they’re unhappy with the Twitter clone dashboard on desktop. (I don’t blame you, it’s broken af.) Meanwhile, the day this hellsite finally does close, staff are going to have to pry me out of the air vents like a rabid raccoon that’s adapted to survive on drinking air conditioning coolant and whatever trash is left lying around in the breakroom.

I’m fascinated by how the formatting of different social media sites affect how text is read.
For instance, a line break on Tumblr indicates a new idea.
But a reblog break indicates that time has passed.

If you prefer the older feed style I’ve had luck by going in to
settings->Dashboard
and under preferences toggling off Best Stuff First and also toggling ON Snooze Tumblr Live
I’m not the most tumblr experienced but the new layout annoyed me and maybe this will help someone who feels the same

Sharecropping.
FYI if your employer does this, if they have done it for a long time especially, you and your coworkers could be owed huge amounts of unpaid wages and it would be an easy suit if there is a paper trail like this and your employer is placing strict requirements on your behavior while not at work. Employment lawyers generally work on contingency. Just food for thought.

really funny that every website is in an arms race to make itself as bad as possible and immediately someone makes a firefox extension to fix it
